Thoroughly Modern Millie is a Roaring Twenties, romantic comedy about a girl from Kansas, Millie Dillmount, who moves to New York City to make it big and marry her boss – whoever that might be. The setting is Manhattan at the height of the Jazz Age when women were just beginning to enter the workforce, raising their hemlines and rewriting the rules of love. With subplots of kidnapping and slavery, mistaken identities, and tap-dancing stenographers, the show is guaranteed to offer family-friendly entertainment.
