Every child is an artist.  The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.
~ Pablo Picasso ~

The emphasis in the fine arts area is on the creative process, which is supported by aesthetic perception, arts heritage, and aesthetic valuing. Students at all levels are expected to be creative thinkers and problem solvers and be able to work well with others or independently. They need to be able to push themselves toward high levels of achievement and they need to develop the courage of their convictions. Fine Arts students learn to take risks and learn from their "mistakes" - the parts that are not yet well-executed. Music and Visual Arts classes are opportunities for students to learn by doing.
