Very successful beginning/intermediate Holiday show. Over 400 kindergartners (and 3rd grade buddies) from Pleasant Valley, San Ramon, Lu Sutton and Olive schools. The big kids loved entertaining and the little kids loved watching.
Marin County District Attorney, Ed Berberian, Doctor Michael Grogan (Director of the Jeanette Prandi Children's Center, John Allioti (District Attorney's office) and San Marin Advanced Drama premiered the public service video "Irreversible Consequences" on December 18. Students and adults have been working on this very powerful "cautionary tale" and "rules of the road" video about on-line chat and how it can lead to unfortunate consequences for the last year. Our hope is that it will be shown in all Marin County high schools in the near future.
Congratulations to Advanced Drama student Sam Maher and his collaborators Lauren DiBiasio and Emillio Salas for their prize winning entry into Marin Theatre Company's playwriting competition. Their play will be presented at San Marin Drama Cafe Theatre, along with the shortend version of Bright Ideas by Eric Coble and other hilarious scenes on Friday Jan 22 and Saturday Jan 23 at 7:30pm (not recommended for students under 13). The cast of Bright Ideas will be presenting their play at the annual Lenaea Drama Competiton at Sac State on Jan 29. Sam Maher's play will be presented at the Marin Theatre Competition on Feb 1.
