As you are thinking of your final class list for the 2010-2011 school year, consider San Marin's NEW Biotechnology Course being offered next year!
The Science Department will be adding a new class to its offerings-Biotechnology. Biotechnology is a field of Biology that involves the use of living things in engineering, technology and medicine.
Similar in difficulty level to Marine Biology, the course will be open to sophomores, juniors and seniors. Biology is a prerequisite and Chemistry is a co-requisite. This is a hands-on laboratory class that will prepare students for college level lab work. The course can be taken as a single year class or as part of a 2-year Career Technology Education course that leads to a certification to work in the Biotechnology field at an entry level position. The course will fulfill the University of California A-G requirement as a laboratory science class.
